BCTF Inquiry Project

Once again, we have received the BCTF PQT Inquiry grant.  This grant consists of $3500 from the BCTF, $1750 from the school district and $1750 from NOSTA and allows us to release 10 teachers for one full day and three half day sessions.  This is the third year in a row that we have applied for and received the grant.

Our theme this year is “Incorporating aboriginal content and ways of knowing” into our classrooms.  Our first session is Friday, February 12th from 8:30-2:30.  We will decide on the other sessions at that time.  There will be a BCTF facilitator to guide us through our learning journey and our very own Jackie Lever to support us as needed.

Participants must commit to attending all sessions, and being involved in the communication of learning celebration at the end.  We are giving preference to groups, but if individuals apply, we will try to match them up with others that are interested in the same topic.

Please forward this on to the teachers at your schools.  The application is due back by Monday, January 25th so that we can review the applications at the next pro-d committee meeting.  It can be emailed to me or sent into the NOSTA office.

Please let me know if you have any questions.
